The start of a new year… 2018.
The days are slowly getting brighter as Winter falls behind us… we look to the spring to come.
This time of year has been known to be a low point; it is still very dark and cold, the Christmas chaos has just passed (for those who celebrate the festivities). To help achieve a more peaceful state at this time of year, it can be very beneficial to become aware of what no longer serves us, and to discard this from our lives. Whether this is simply a form of food, a characteristic, a habit etc. Getting rid of the old, makes room for the new.
This pagan song calls upon the wisdom and guidance of the deity Cerridwen. Cerridwen is regarded as the triple goddess; the maiden, mother and crone. She represents the rebirth, and therefore you can call upon her assistance, to help cut the chords to something that is no longer serving you, and to be re-born fresh and anew.
The love and wisdom of Cerridwen can help you in times of grief and sadness. Or to bring about a new breath of air in your being.
